- Today your adventure starts with a trip through the Sonoran
Desert to central Arizona. This desert is the most biodiverse desert
in North America, and your tour guide will provide you with many facts
about this area which covers 100,000 square miles. Your
guide will then bring you to uptown Sedona and assist you with checking
in at your hotel. You'll be on your own for the rest of the
afternoon and evening to enjoy this magnificent area. A scenic rim jeep
tour of the Sedona area is available for an additional $50, or you can
also spend the afternoon enjoying the many shops and galleries of Sedona, horseback ride, or relax and take in the
view. Overnight in Sedona. (Day One Itinerary subject to change.)
Day 2 - This morning, Open
Road Tours will pick you up at approximately 8:45am-9:15am for the
continuation of your tour. We'll tour up scenic Oak Creek Canyon
and travel across the Navajo Indian Reservation for an
early lunch and shopping. This is one of the best places
to get authentic Native American arts, crafts & jewelry! Try a
delicious Navajo Taco for lunch and some Fry Bread if you have a
sweet tooth. Next, it's on to one of the seven natural
wonders of the world -- the Grand Canyon. You'll be
making stops today at the canyon's east and south rims, allowing
for great views and even a leisurely stroll along the rim if you
wish. A dinner stop will be made on the way back to the
Phoenix area. Return between approximately 8-9pm.

Explore Arizona's
varied Native American culture on this special tour.
Day 1 - Begin
with a fully-narrated tour of the Sonoran Desert as you leave
Arizona's Valley of the Sun for your first stop of the day --
Montezuma's Castle, a prehistoric Native American cliff
dwelling dating back hundreds of years.
Then, you're on to Sedona, known for its spectacular red rock
scenery and its rich Southwestern arts and Native history. This afternoon, experience our newest
jeep
excursion -- "Awakening the Spirit."
The experience concludes with a saging ceremony to cleanse and
purify body and spirit. Overnight at Matterhorn Inn of
Sedona (or equivalent). (Day One Itinerary subject to change.)
Day 2 - Travel to the Navajo
Indian Reservation and stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post
for an early lunch and shopping. Next, visit Grand Canyon
National Park where you'll tour the famed Desert View Watchtower,
symbolic of ancient Anasazi structures from civilizations long since
gone from the area, and other scenic overlooks at the park. Overnight in Flagstaff. Day
3 - Today
travel to Monument Valley Tribal Park for a scenic off-road trip
into the heart of the Valley. The towering buttes of this
magnificent area have long been the backdrop for Western movies and
you'll see them up close with your Native American guide. Along
the way, visit an authentic hogan, the traditional dwelling of the
Navajo people. Return to Flagstaff for your overnight
accommodations.
Day 4 - Depart
Flagstaff for your outbound flights from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
(Note: Shuttles to Phoenix depart five times daily, so please plan
accordingly to arrive at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure
time. Visit our schedule under shuttles from Flagstaff to Phoenix for

Day 1 - Looking

country. You'll have time in Sedona for a coffee break and a chance to get
some photos of this spectacular area before continuing up Oak
Creek Canyon. Next, visit the Navajo Indian Reservation,

for Native American jewelry and art. Later, travel to
Grand Canyon for a rim tour on the scenic East Rim Drive and
a stop at the Grand Canyon Village area. You'll have the rest of the afternoon and the evening

Day 2 - This
morning is free to take an
optional helicopter flight, and/or just enjoy more leisure time
at the Grand Canyon South Rim. You can enjoy the park by
taking a leisurely walk along the canyon rim, making a stop at the Visitor Center or
climb aboard the park's local shuttle to
other canyon viewpoints. Your tour departs mid-afternoon
from the canyon
and returns to Phoenix/Scottsdale area between 8-9pm. Meals and

Day 1 - Travel through the expansive

Day 2 - Depart early morning and
travel up scenic Oak Creek
Canyon to Williams where you'll board the historic Grand Canyon Railway. In operation
since 1901, the railway takes you across open plains with mountain
views before arriving at the Grand Canyon Village at the south rim of the
park at approximately noon.
Upon your arrival, enjoy time for lunch and breathtaking views or a walk
along the rim. You'll depart the Grand Canyon later in the afternoon
and return to the Phoenix area at approximately 8-9pm. Meals and
